Cognipal App
Cognipal is an android application which will give driver ratings based on the driving behavior.
The android application will analyze the vehicle parameters available in the can bus and use this to rate the driver, based on his driving behavior. Two different ratings viz., Rating and Eco-Driving Rating are given for a driver.

Challenge
Cognipal is not about creating a game, but about learning from game design principles and applying
those insights to improve the app. By incorporating gamification, the app aims to motivate drivers to adopt better driving habits by showing them a clear path to mastery. The existing application was cluttered, and the real challenge was to redesign it to be more viable, effective, efficient, and satisfying for vehicle drivers.
Discover
During the discovery phase of Cognipal, the focus was on understanding how game design principles could be applied to motivate better driving behavior. Extensive research was conducted to identify key vehicle parameters from the CAN bus that influence driver ratings. User feedback highlighted the need for a more intuitive and engaging interface. This phase was crucial in setting the foundation for a viable, effective, and efficient application.
Define
In the Define phase of Cognipal, the project team translated insights from the discovery phase into clear objectives and requirements. Key features were outlined, including driver ratings, Eco-Driving scores, and vehicle health monitoring. User personas and journey maps were created to guide the design process. This phase established a solid blueprint for developing a user-centric and functional application.
Design
During the Design phase of Cognipal, the focus was on creating a user-friendly interface that incorporated gamification elements to engage drivers. Wireframes and prototypes were developed to visualize the app's features, such as driver ratings and vehicle health monitoring. Feedback from user testing was used to refine the design, ensuring it was intuitive and motivating. This phase aimed to create an effective and satisfying user experience.
